“ if i did not face the horrors and anguish of the human condition, along with the exhilarating white hot beauty of life human and all other, I can't see how I could call myself an artist.. a claim I slowly and with much respect for the Great Artist of the past-west, east, whatever, to stretch a canvas gesso it see it on my easel fresh and clean, geometry-music; then try and make a beautiful painting-that is the creative act, the most positive up front evidence I can think of- for myself-sure, l paint the underside of things but only because l care that we must change our Global ways-is beyond obvious and my rage is at the lack of head on action to save the planet because we humans are only a small % of life here—to casually destroy all the life forms we have and are and will—I see as inconceivable-most of all I see me as part of all of it-so-when a life form becomes extinct because of human habits, I feel some of me is being defamed —that pisses me off. “
